Inside
IronKind

Vegan Lactoferrin

Supports iron absorption and regulation. Prevents iron imbalance in the gut, supporting your microbiome and strengthening your
gut barrier.

Prebiotics

Nourishes good bacteria in your gut,
helping them thrive naturally.

From Milk

Lactoferrin

FE (Iron)

Lactoferrin is a protein found in milk, known for supporting immunity, gut health, performance, and recovery.

Milk does not contain ACTIVE lactoferrin as it is denatured in the pasteurization process. Most abundant in colostrum, the first milk produced
after birth.

IronKind has the first vegan-certified lactoferrin produced through precision fermentation without the use of milk.
  • More affordable and scalable
  • 100% cruelty-free
  • Sustainable for the planet
  • Better for you

Prebiotics

Prebiotics are fibers that feed the good bacteria in your gut, helping strengthen digestion, immunity, and overall health. They're naturally found in foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains.

How prebiotics help you feel your best:
  • Strengthen digestion
  • Support immune health
  • Improve nutrient absorption
  • Balance gut bacteria
  • Boost overall vitality

How IronKind works over time

MONTH 1
Building the
foundation

Your body starts absorbing iron more efficiently, and good gut bacteria begin to strengthen digestion.

MONTH 2
Boosting energy
and immunity

Healthier iron levels help improve energy, focus, and recovery. Your gut lininggets stronger, supporting immunity.

MONTH 3
Strengthening
and sustaining

Iron stores balance out, oxygen delivery improves, and long-term gut and immune health are reinforced.

How it works

1. Supports gut-friendly iron absorption
Lactoferrin binds to free iron, preventing it from reaching harmful bacteria that thrive on iron and cause gut issues like bloating and discomfort.
2. Nourishes good bacteria
Prebiotics feed and support beneficial bacteria
in your gut, promoting a healthy, balanced microbiome for improved digestion and overall gut health.
3. Fuels energy levels
Lactoferrin helps your body absorb iron, which makes hemoglobin to carry oxygen to your brain and muscles. This supports energy, growth, and muscle function.

Clinical Trials

Lactoferrin is clinically proven to support iron absorption, with fewer side effects than traditional iron supplements.

Lactoferrin is clinically proven to have fewer gastrointestinal side effects.3

I've had anemia for several years due to heavy periods and vegetarian diet. My body struggled with iron absorption. I learned about lactoferrin this year. So I researched to see if I could find a lactose free kind. I was so relieved to find Intentional. I have since completed one bottle so far. I'm happy to say, I had my first normal period in years. I can't wait to get blood work to check my iron levels next month. Thank you Intentional!!

I feel great after taking IronKind for only 14 days. I usually feel tired on the daily, not having enough energy to get through my 9-5. But taking this makes me feel more awake throughout the day !! I wasn’t sure if IronKind lactoferrin was for me at first, but trying it out changes my view on it! Would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Your questions, answered

  • When should I take IronKind?

IronKind can be taken anytime of day, but for optimal absorption, we recommend taking it before a meal on an empty stomach.  If discomfort occurs, try taking IronKind with a meal.

  • What is Lactoferrin?

Lactoferrin is a multifunctional protein found in milk. It is known for its benefits to the immune system, gut health, performance, and recovery. It is particularly abundant in colostrum, the first milk produced by mammals in the first few days after birth.

  • How is IronKind vegan if it contains lactoferrin, a milk protein?

We’ve used groundbreaking precision fermentation technology to produce vegan lactoferrin by harnessing the power of microbes. In the same way that kombucha or kefir are brewed, our specially engineered microbes ferment sugars to produce vegan lactoferrin.

  • How old do my kids need to be to take IronKind?

We know Lactoferrin, IronKind's hero ingredient, is used in some infant formulas.

However, always recommend consulting with a healthcare provider for anyone wanting to take IronKind under the age
of 18.

Children under the age of 2 years should not take IronKind.

  • Can I take IronKind when pregnant or nursing?

IronKind is made with precision-fermented lactoferrin and prebiotics to support healthy iron levels and overall well-being. Studies suggest lactoferrin can help improve hemoglobin levels, reduce inflammation, and support immune function during pregnancy and postpartum.

While these benefits are promising, every pregnancy and postpartum journey is unique. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before adding IronKind to your routine.

  • Can I take IronKind with my iron supplement?

While IronKind can be taken with traditional iron supplements, some clinical studies indicate that lactoferrin supplementation alone can outperform traditional iron supplementation.

A meta-analysis of 7 clinical studies looked at pregnant and non-pregnant women with various iron deficiency conditions taking lactoferrin vs ferrous sulfate (Zhao et al, 2022).  Participants with iron-related deficiencies saw a 2x greater improvement in hemoglobin concentrations and an 8x greater improvement in serum iron levels.

While these benefits are promising, every health journey is unique. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before adding IronKind to your routine.

  • What is the prebiotic in IronKind?

Our prebiotics are mannan polysaccharides. These are larger than the mono and oligosaccharides categorized under FODMAPs.  Beneficial gut species like Bacteroides can utilize these mannans.

  • Why take IronKind over Colostrum?

IronKind is a great alternative to bovine colostrum. It has many of the same functions as bovine colostrum, and is vegan. Despite its health benefits, bovine colostrum has several drawbacks:

Unethical Animal Welfare: The collection of colostrum often involves separating calves from their mothers shortly after birth, causing distress to both animals.

Supply Constraints: The calving cycle of dairy cows limits the production of bovine colostrum, leading to an unstable supply and difficulty meeting growing demand.

High Environmental Impact: The dairy industry, including the production of bovine colostrum, has a significant negative impact on the environment, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and land use.

Feel the difference with balanced iron and a stronger gut.
